What Are KBA Questions?
KBA questions are multiple-choice and are generated using information from the your personal background, such as:
-
Previous addresses
-
Vehicle ownership details
-
Names of relatives or roommates
-
Mortgage lenders or property history
-
Past phone numbers or employers
How It Works
-
You enter your full legal name, address, date of birth, and the last 4 digits of your SSN.
-
Within seconds, the system pulls records from databases like TransUnion or LexisNexis.
-
You will get 5 multiple-choice questions.
-
You must answer at least 4 of 5 correctly within 2 minutes.
-
If you fail, you will get one more attempt after a 24-hour wait (as per many platforms).

What is Credential Analysis (ID + Selfie)?
After passing KBA, you will need to upload a photo of your government-issued ID.
After uploading a photo of your government-issued ID (like a driver’s license or passport), you will be prompted to:
-
Take a live selfie using your phone or webcam.
-
The system compares the facial features in the selfie with your photo on your ID.
-
If the selfie and ID match, identity is verified and you can proceed to the notarization session.
